Cross Country Registration
Indy Genesis will enter its fifth Cross Country season!
Each level will have a full competitive season against the public, private, and homeschool teams. The season will end with the Homeschool Cross Country State Championships and the Midwest Cross Country Championships.
Indy Genesis Cross Country coaches are USATF registered coaches and head coach, Rick Sica, has a level 1 certification. Coaches will have a special focus around proper form, nutrition & health, improving athleticism, spiritual growth, excellence & community. Below are details for the teams:
The regular season lasts through mid-October, finishing with the State and Midwest Christian & Homeschool Championships, both located in/near Indianapolis. There is also opportunity to participate in additional post-season events, including USTAF Jr Olympic races and Homeschool & Christian National Championships in TN.
Grades: Boys or girls in grades 3-12; there will be elementary, middle school, & high school teams
When: High School conditioning begins 1/wk in June. High School camp is in second week in July followed by an Elementary/Middle School day camp. Practices start the week after camp and are typically scheduled from 6-8pm Mon/Wed/Thu at various parks on the Southside of Indy.
Meets: Regular season competitions are within a 30-45 minute radius around Indianapolis. Similar to public and Christian schools, Indy Genesis will schedule 5-6 Elem meets, 6-8 MS meets, and 8-10 HS meets (for both V and JV).
