Ryan Barnes
Athletic Director
Ryan Barnes has been married to Racheal Barnes for 18 years. They have 4 + 1 (Lord willing) kids. Gabe (15) Gideon (12) Silas (8) Lily (5) +1 Blessing (18mo). Ryan played baseball all through childhood, and was the pitching coach for SE Indiana Panthers. Ryan also spent time working for the Reds, and baseball is the sport he follows. Ryan is bringing that passion for the game to Genesis as the AD.

Michael McBride

Mike and Mandy McBride recently moved to Greenwood from San Diego, CA. Mike is a pastor and church planter with the Presbyterian Church in America. Prior to that he was a management consultant with Accenture. Mandy is a marriage and family counselor by training who has spent the last 12 years focused teaching their four kids – Olivia (16), Joseph (15), Greta (12) and Henry (10) – and being a utility player in the work of planting churches. Mike and Mandy have coached and helped coach youth sports for years. Rock climbing, gardening, classic literature, and live Shakespeare are among their favorite things.

Phil Smith
Head Coach
Phil Smith has been married to Taunya Smith for 19 years. They have 4 children, Mekhi (18), Maya (17), Keyton (14), and Abigail (9). Phil is a teacher at Beech Grove High School and he teaches Special Education. Taunya is a stay at home mother who works tirelessly homeschooling their four children. Phil played baseball in highschool and has coached many travel ball teams as well as public school teams. Phil also spends time umpiring during the spring, summer and fall months. The Smith family enjoys camping, traveling to the beach, watching movies and spending time with each other. Phil personally loves to grill on his smoker and coaching! They attend church at Living Word Bible Church on the southside of Indy!
