The Beginning of Girls Volleyball

In the fall of 2002, Liz Meyer started a girls homeschool volleyball team so her daughter Amanda could play while still being homeschooled.  Liz asked Cheryl Gammon and Kim Mountain to be her assistant coaches for the team that was named Indy Silver Lightning.  After serving as the head coach for two years, Liz handed over the leadership to Kim who coached the team for the next sixteen years.  The team won many tournaments over those years.  In 2017, Kim decided to have the volleyball team merge with the Indy Genesis organization.  The team has grown to now provide homeschool volleyball for elementary, middle school, and high school girls.
