Ian is married to Alison and is the father of Adan (14), Owen (11), and Anna (9). He is a high school special education teacher at the Damar Charter Academy. Previously, he was the business manager at the Tindley Preparatory Academy, a charter school near downtown Indianapolis. From 2003 – 2011 he was the director of media relations for Home School Legal Defense Association. While earning his MPA from Regent University, he worked as an assistant/writer at the Weekly Standard (1998-2001). He then moved to Capitol Hill and served as a legislative assistant and, later, communications director for Congressman Mike Pence. Ian and his wife live in Greenwood.
Director of Spiritual Growth
Mark is married to Debra. Their kids are Jasmin Allen (23), Daesha Cottrell (19), Kayli (17), Jocelyn (16), Colter (14), and Hudson (12). Mark’s family joined Indy Genesis in 2017. Mark has served as a pastor in urban or inner city contexts for eighteen years. He has also been teaching online courses for Horizon University for four years. In his spare time, Mark enjoys video editing, ancestry, and sports. Mark joined the Indy Genesis soccer board in 2019. His hope is to see athletes have an increased ownership in their faith that goes beyond their years as soccer athletes: “Soccer for years, Jesus for life.”
Director of Community
Heather Baugh has been married to Kevin for 20 years. They have 5 children: Zachary (13), Kyle (11), Evan (10), Jessica (7), and Marissa (5). They all attend Greenwood Bible Baptist Church and Heather and Kevin teach in the teen class and serve in the music ministry. Heather played soccer from elementary up through the first few years of college. Her goal, with Indy Genesis, is to bring families together throughout the season.
Ken is married to Sarah and is father of Lucas (11), Jolene (10), Annelise (7), Rosalie (4) and David (1). His children have been with Genesis since 2017 participating in multiple activities. Ken has a passion of watching children play and grow in confidence through sports. He hopes to use his gifts of administration as the treasurer and provide sound financial principles in managing club operations. Ken enjoys spending time with his family outdoors..
Corey is married to Rob. Their kids are Hannah (17), Elizabeth (15), Rachel (13), Julia (11), Emily (9), and Priscilla (7). Her hobbies include crocheting, knitting, Bible Journaling and scrapbooking.
Boys Varsity Co-Head Coach & Scheduler
Steve is married to Jill. Their kids are Kelly (28), Michele (26), Eric (23), Nathan (19), and Joseph (16). The Dyers have been with Genesis from its beginning in 2011. Steve has coached Junior Varsity, assisted with the Boys Varsity teams, and served in various roles as a board member. In his spare time, he likes to pursue collections of historical significance.
Boys Varsity Co-Head Coach
Craig and Maria have been married for 27 years. They have 2 married daughters and 3 teenage sons who play Varsity and Junior Varsity Genesis soccer. They attend the Community Church of Greenwood and love Haiti, inner city ministry, and spending time in the Rockies.
Girls Varsity Head Coach
Heather is married to her handsome husband, Keith. They have been blessed with four children: Courtney (27), Dempsey (23), Devin (14) and Delaney (12) and two grandchildren. She has been a high school science teacher, coach, advisor of extra curricular clubs and served as a den leader of Boy Scouts and a unit leader for American Heritage Girls. Currently, she is coaching soccer, tutoring in Classical Conversations, co-leading SELAH, and is excited to be a director of Homeschool Athletics Day. In her spare time, she loves playing games with her family, camping, exploring and hiking.
Boy's JV Head Coach
John is married to Shanthi and they have three children. Joshua (16), Elisha (13) and Shekhinah (9). John and Shanthi have been part of Genesis from 2017 and their children have participated in Soccer and Track & Field. John has coached soccer in the Mount Pleasant league. John is also part of the Track board, and in his off time enjoys photography. John wants his players to learn soccer skills and also learn how to exemplify Christ's life on the soccer field.
Middle School Head Coach
Brad is married to Chele and the father of Abby (20), Caleb (14) and Nate (12). Brad graduated from Purdue University, and is a devoted fan. He has been a civil engineer at DLZ Indiana, and has coached various soccer teams from U4 - high school for 22 years. Brad is excited to lead a young group of fun and energetic middle schoolers, teaching them the skills needed on the soccer field and in life. He is currently co-leading youth and children's ministries at Cross Church in Indianapolis, and enjoys serving with his sons’ basketball teams.
