The Beginning of Homeschool Athletic's Day (HAD)

In late 2017, the Genesis Executive Board felt God leading them to become a multi-sport organization to provide many sports opportunities to homeschool families in Indianapolis.  Matt Hogan, the President for Genesis, was aware of other large homeschool multi-sport organizations across the country that offered a large physical education class to their homeschool community.  Genesis had a partnership with Community Church of Greenwood using their sports facility for various activities.  The church was supportive of partnering with Genesis to host HAD.  Matt approached Genesis soccer mom, Heather McCormick, to lead HAD across all ages.  Heather agreed and led a group of moms to provide HAD the first semester for elementary, middle school, and high school students.  The first semester was spring 2018 and included 51 students split into an elementary, middle school, and high school classes.
