In late 2017, the Genesis Executive Board felt God leading them to become a multi-sport organization to provide many sports opportunities to homeschool families in Indianapolis.  Matt Hogan, the President for Genesis, was aware of other large homeschool multi-sport organizations across the country that offered a large physical education class to their homeschool community.  Genesis had a partnership with Community Church of Greenwood using their sports facility for various activities.  The church was supportive of partnering with Genesis to host HAD.  Matt approached Genesis soccer coach and parent, Heather McCormick, to create a physical education class. Heather agreed and HAD’s first semester began January of 2018 with the help of many wonderful homeschool parents. The class included 58 students ranging from elementary to high school aged students.
